Clinical dietician, nutritionist, and wellness expert, Radhi Devlukia-Shetty has been sharing her nourishing and flavorful recipes online for millions of followers. Now with her first cookbook, JOYFULL, Radhi will discuss her mindful practices and the effortless and delicious plant-based recipes that fill the pages of her book. Leading the conversation is Persis Singh, director of development at the James Beard Foundation and an Integrative Health and Holistic Wellness coach based in Brooklyn.

About Radhi Devlukia-Shetty: 
Radhi Devlukia-Shetty is a clinical dietician, nutritionist, and always-learning cook who brings a modern approach to the ancient principles of holistic wellbeing and earned her Ayurvedic Health Counsellor One Degree at the California College of Ayurveda. Radhi grew up in the UK and lives in Los Angeles with her husband Jay. 

About Persis Singh:
Persis Singh is the Director of Development at the James Beard Foundation and a certified Integrative Health Coach, Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and Yoga Instructor.
She has spent the past 15 years leading philanthropy, programming, and strategic communications at arts and cultural organizations around the country and is deeply passionate about galvanizing community, support, and engagement around impact-driven missions and initiatives. In her role at the James Beard Foundation, she is thrilled to delve into the intersection of food as culture, history, identity, and medicine – which complements her two decades of experience as a practitioner of holistic health and wellness. In her private practice as a Coach, Educator, and Facilitator, Persis offers concrete tools and techniques for cultivating wellbeing, longevity, and resilience that honor one’s unique bio-individuality, while centering the healing and medicinal power of food and nourishment.  Persis is the daughter of immigrants from India and the Philippines, is a proud single mother, and currently lives in Brooklyn with her 7-year-old son.



 

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.

James Beard Foundation events permit guests age 21 years and older to attend events where alcoholic beverages are served.

Reservation Policy:

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund.
