October 6, 4:00 P.M. Beverage Seminar: Artisan Hard Cider with Ironbound Farm and Ciderhouse
October 06, 2024 04:00 PM
Celebrate Cider Week with a Seasonal Hard Cider Pairing and Dishes from a Regenerative Farm and Orchard
25 11th Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA
Join us for a special NYC Cider Week event with Ironbound Hard Cider, a New Jersey–based cider house and regenerative farm dedicated to producing high-quality, food-friendly ciders that pay homage to Newark’s historic cider-making tradition. Founder and owner Charles Rosen will walk you through a tasting of five unique Ironbound beverages, including their award-winning Original Hard Cider, cocktail-friendly Imperial (or fortified) Ciders, and select samplings from their Harrison Collection, featuring the once thought to be extinct Harrison apple, which just so happened to be George Washington’s favorite. Each cider will be paired with food prepared by Ironbound's executive chef and farm director, Alec Gioseffi, using ingredients sourced from Ironbound’s regenerative farm.
Along with their hard cider production, Ironbound has created a destination for farm-to-table in Hunterdon County, NJ, complete with a restaurant, walk-up bar, on-farm bites, and a vibrant farm market. Ironbound is dedicated to healing the land, providing nutrient-dense food, and supporting the local community by reestablishing a sustainable food system in collaboration with other local farmers. Celebrate Ironbound's Jersey heritage and the revival of Newark's historic cider production at this exclusive event.
